Thank you for considering our place.
This is a beautiful property - a luxurious townhouse in a great location in Dingle town.
There are 4 en-suite rooms in total - the rear 2 king size rooms have harbour views & the 2 front rooms are large super-king rooms. All of the beds are really comfy!
As well as beautiful bedrooms; a large light filled open plan dining / living room opens out onto a patio area and a very large garden. The garden is completely enclosed by the original stone walls - creating a private space in the centre of town - and backs onto the Díseart chapel & grounds. Indeed the chapel's famous Harry Clarke windows overlook the bottom of the garden.
We're always more than happy to give you any tips/ advice on places to see.
You can have breakfast & relax in the large open plan living / dining room.
This light filled room opens out onto a limestone patio area and a very large private garden.
Interaction with guests
We are always delighted to show off Dingle the town and the Peninsula... it truly is a beautiful & special place. We will be more than happy to help with suggestions of places to visit, good restaurants etc. We run a local information & cultural magazine - so please do ask!
Dingle is quite simply one of the best places in Ireland - to live and visit. The area is steeped in history, culture, music and tradition. You will be perfectly located right next to some of the best restaurants and pubs in Kerry... and beyond! In Oct 2016, TripAdvisor listed the top 10 restaurants in Ireland - 3 of them are in Dingle. Enjoy!
Free on street parking. Everything in town is in easy walking distance.
Other things to note
This property is one of the oldest in Dingle. It is approximately 200 years old and in its time was considered one of the most impressive homes in the town.
The property has an interesting past.... As well as once being the magistrate’s home, it belonged to a lady called Clarisss Hussey, a member of a local wealthy land-owning family. In 1860 Clarissa, a pious Catholic donated money to build the iconic church in Dingle - St. Mary's. Clarissa is buried under the floor of the church - you can see her grave marked by a plaque on either wall at the front.
We aim to run the house as sustainably as possible. A wood pellet stove creates a cosy atmosphere in the open plan living / dining area. This along with a thermodynamic system provides plenty of hot water and heating. We also make every effort to use natural cleaning products throughout the house. Oh and we local food as much as possible.
"We loved our stay!....Located in the heart of Dingle we were never more than a minutes walk from good food or live music, and because our host runs the local info/arts paper, he knew everything that was going on in town.... and the bed was so comfy! Definitely would recommend!.."
"Amazing... Perfect location right in Dingle. The room was great. This was one of my favorite airbnbs I've stayed in".

"A must stay if your visiting Dingle and great value for money. Best airbnb we've stayed in so far!".
"If AirBnB gave 7 stars this property would get them hands down. Beautiful 200+ year old house with a modern boutique hotel look and feel. Exceptional attention to detail in all the rooms...fixtures and fittings were top quality , the beds are extremely comfortable and there was a real feel good factor about the place. Susan and Lorcán were magnificent hosts... Can't wait to visit Dingle again and staying here again is a definite".
"Great location right in town. Nice private room, very comfortable bed, high-end shower. Smooth, fast check-in. Easy parking on the street nearby. Highly recommended".
"Excellent hosts, catered for our ever need. Went above and beyond all expectations, even on such short notice for our booking. Will definitely be revisiting this place in the heart of the beautiful town of Dingle. Accommodation was beautiful, warm, comfy and spacious"
"... we do not have enough to say about our stay here! The hosts Susan and Lorc are not only hospitable and accommodating but gracious, kind and wonderful to chat with and gave us insight on the area and locals. The building itself is beautiful. They made tasteful updates to a historical townhouse and added a beautiful sunroom on the back wherein you enjoy a wood burning stove and breakfast. Our room was great.. it was on the top floor with a window overlooking the water. The location is superb. You are literally right around the corner from some of the best pubs, restaurants, and music in town and across the street from one in particular. You can walk everywhere in roughly 5 minutes and come home to what we called our sanctuary. We cannot recommend this place enough - one of our top AirBnB experiences to date!".
